Fernando Cruz

My wife Elcie and I have been woven into the fabric of Queens and Brooklyn for generations.  In 2008, we decided to make Parkway Village part of our multi-generational journey, and we've loved every minute of it, our forever home.

As a proud 32BJ Union member for the last 26 years, I've been fortunate enough to help build up this beautiful city to meet the needs of today and tomorrow.  It's through that prism that I view our eclectic and ever-evolving community.  As a Supervisor of Collins Building Services, it has been my privilege to represent and advocate for the best interest of my staff.  In addition to leading strategic negotiations and mentoring, I manage teams' day and night that successfully meet the needs of building tenants as well.

These experiences have only reinforced how vital community leadership is to both the short-term and long-term success of a community.  If reelected, I will continue to bring my work experience and my service as a member of the Parkway Village Board of Directors.

I am a member of the Climate Change Slate and have served on the Parkway Village Board of Directors since October 2021. Since that time significant progress has been made in restoring freedom from fear and intimidation, ethical administration, and fiscal responsibility.  If reelected, we remain committed to building upon this solid foundation of achievement to make our Village an even better place to invest and live in.
