When I first saw the beautiful landscape and coffered ceilings at Parkway village, I knew I wanted to make this my home. The charm, rich history, and the 34-acres of land our community encompasses is one like no other. I have lived in Parkway Village since 2018 and I am hoping to work closely with both new and long-term residents to better our community.
I have been a resident of Queens for the past 29 years. I moved here from Hong Kong when I was a child and have resided in Queens ever since. I have a master’s degree in Adolescent Education and a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences/Biology. I have worked as a high school science educator in the NYC Department of Education and a junior research scientist in the Neuroscience department at New York University. Currently, I work as a researcher and analyst in a globally recognized healthcare company.
In my current role as Vice President of Parkway Village, I have closely with our Board President, Fernando Cruz to significantly improve the infrastructures of our property and increase the value of our investments. These projects include the completion of the window installations, demolition and complete construction of three new playgrounds, installation of new laundry machines in the laundry rooms, and the re-pavement of our roads.
In 2022, I founded the village’s first Communications Committee and brought my leadership skills to close the gap between the board and the shareholders. We also conducted several shareholder interviews to get feedback on how to improve communications within our village. From the voices of the shareholders, we were able to create a new website that really showcased the restored beauty of Parkway Village.
The initiatives that we have taken as a board since we were elected in October 2021, are just a few examples that show our commitment to Parkway Village. If re elected, we remain committed to building upon this solid foundation of achievement to make our Village an even better place to invest and live in.
Our work is far from over, let’s continue keeping Parkway Village the vibrant, inclusive community we all cherish. Vote for me, Fernando Cruz, Terry Saunders, Lynette Rodriguez, Patricia Baker, and Shari Ferguson.
